Description	Economic/Social Impact of the Project Kotre Basantpur & Pachmo [ KBP] coal blocks were allotted to Tata Steel Ltd over an area of 1879 acres by the Ministry of Coal [MOC], GOI in Aug 2005 . The mine is proposed to be developed for mining and processing of coal at the rate of 5 million tons per annum [MTPA]. The production is planned to cater to the enhanced coal requirements of Jamshedpur steel plant which is operating at 9.7MTPA currently.The coal block is located in Ramgarh & Bokaro District of Jharkhand.
