Description | Laurentis Energy Partners, together with Canadian Nuclear Partners S.A. and BWXT Canada Ltd., have signed a contract to advance two new Westinghouse AP1000 reactor units (Units 7 and 8) at Bulgaria's Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant. The contract spans up to ten years and includes engineering and project oversight through all major phases of the program, including pre-Final Investment Decision activities, design, construction, and commissioning. The new units will have a combined capacity of 2,300 MWe and are expected to be operational in 2035 and 2037 respectively, reinforcing Bulgaria's energy security and supporting its low-carbon transition. |
