Kraken Loop Power Transmission Line

Dominion Energy is planning to build an approximately 70-mile, 500-kilovolt power line called the Kraken Loop through parts of the Fredericksburg area, including Louisa, Spotsylvania, Caroline, Stafford, and Fauquier counties. The line will connect the existing North Anna Substation to the proposed Kraken Substation in Caroline and ultimately tie into the proposed Yeat Substation in Fauquier. The project involves surveys to identify environmental, cultural, historic resources, and endangered species, with public input to refine potential routes before review by the State Corporation Commission.
