Description	The objective of this project, in Sharja, Kostroma Oblast, is to revamp and modernize an existing industrial site and to build a new wood-based panel plant. The investment program encompasses: - acquisition of the financially-distressed assets; - upgrade of the existing 15 million m3/year (CMY) fiberboard plant; - installation of a new 165,000 CMY particleboard plant; and, - installation of a new 400,000 CMY medium density fiberboard (MDF) plant. The project will contribute to modernization of the Russian wood panel industry, which is currently characterized by old and inefficient equipment and outdated operations. Additionally, the project is a part of a long-term investment program for Kronostar Sharja (Kronostar). The project sponsor is Swiss Krono Group (SKG).
