Ksi Lisims LNG Export Facility

The Ksi Lisims LNG facility is a proposed floating liquefied natural gas export project located roughly 80 kilometres north of Prince Rupert in Nisga'a Nation territory, British Columbia. It has an export capacity of 12 million metric tonnes per year and is being developed by Houston-based Western LNG, the Rockies LNG partnership, and the Nisga'a Nation. The project aims to supply LNG to Europe, with a recent large-scale supply agreement signed with Germany's SEFE for one million metric tonnes per year. The project is moving closer to a final investment decision targeted for 2026, but faces unresolved legal and environmental challenges, including opposition from First Nations and consent disputes.
