Description | The proposed Ksi Lisims LNG facility in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada, is planned to have a capacity of 12 million metric tons per year, making it the second-largest liquefied natural gas export terminal in Canada. The project is backed by Houston-based Western LNG, a consortium of Canadian natural gas producers called Rockies LNG, and the Nisga'a First Nation. Shell and Total Energies have signed 20-year LNG purchase agreements with the project. Construction is underway on the associated 900-km Prince Rupert Gas Transmission pipeline to transport natural gas to the facility. The project has been added to Canada's major projects list for fast-tracking to expedite approvals and financing coordination, with a final investment decision expected in early 2026. |
