Description | The Ksi Lisims LNG project is a liquefied natural gas project developed by the Nisga'a Nation, Rockies LNG, and Western LNG. It is designed as a low-emissions facility using hydroelectric power and aims to produce 12 million tonnes per annum of LNG from two floating LNG production and storage facilities. The project has signed a heads of agreement with Germany's Securing Energy for Europe for the sale and purchase of 1 million tonnes per annum of LNG for up to 20 years. Commercial operations are expected to start in late 2028 or 2029, and the project holds a 40-year export license from the Canada Energy Regulator. |
