Description | The Ksi Lisims LNG project is a liquefied natural gas plant located on Canada's Pacific coast in British Columbia. It is fully electrified and powered by hydroelectricity, making it one of the world's lowest carbon dioxide-emitting LNG projects. The plant will have a capacity of 12 million tons per annum (Mtpa) and privileged access to the Asian LNG market. TotalEnergies has signed a Sales and Purchase Agreement to purchase 2 Mtpa of LNG for 20 years from this future liquefaction plant, contingent upon the final investment decision. TotalEnergies also made a 5% investment in Western LNG, the company developing and operating the plant, with the opportunity to increase ownership to 10%. |
