Description | The Ksi Lisims LNG project is a yet-to-be-built liquefied natural gas export facility located on Pearse Island in northern British Columbia, near the Alaska border. The floating plant is planned to export up to 12 million tonnes of LNG per year. A German utility, Securing Energy for Europe (SEFE), has signed a long-term agreement to buy one million tonnes of LNG per year from the project, with deliveries expected to begin in the early 2030s and continue for up to 20 years. The project has regulatory approval but has not yet made a final investment decision. |
