This project entails the construction and the operation of a 100 MW hydro power plant in Naryn region, Kyrgyz Republic, which is expected to generate around 435 million kWh of electricity per year on average and prevent the emission of 346,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases per year. The project is also planned to reduce electricity shortages in Kyrgyzstan and improve the operation of water reservoirs for irrigated farming. The total investment stands at $117.99 million, of which the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund and the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) provide $44 million loan each. Sponsor of the project is Naryn Production Enterprise.
