Description

Description

Through this application we want to implement a programme that will bring partners from different European countries closer together. We want to realise many cultural, informative and entertaining elements for a wide target group. We offer an opportunity to get involved that can encourage citizens to get involved in an interesting and interactive way. We expect the presence of the following countries: Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and Slovakia, representing our own town. Through numerous cultural programs, we introduce the culture of the region and the present member countries to those interested. A broader activity will focus on linguistic diversity and the phenomenon of multilingualism. We will bring several EU topics to the meeting that are important to all of us, and which give the traditional town twinning meeting a European dimension. These are e.g. the workshop on the New European Bauhaus, the discussion of learning and development opportunities provided by the EU, the open forum regarding when the Member State is competent and when the Union is competent. Thus, we provide citizens with many opportunities to express their questions, doubts and ask questions about the EU. Together, we also try to formulate our ideas about the future of Europe. We also create an opportunity for closer cooperation to develop between citizens and local government, as well as civil and voluntary organizations operating in the region. We consider it is important that many people take part in these discussions and exchanges of opinions, as this is the only way we can achieve our goal: the formation of civic attitudes. We plan to implement non-formal activities, among which every age group and every individual will find a suitable program for themselves.
