Description | The provision of a sovereign loan increase of up to EUR 6 million to finance the funding gap for the construction of an EU-compliant regional sanitary landfill in Kvemo Kartli region and the purchase of specialised equipment for related landfill operations (the "Project"). The loan was originally signed in 2015 in the amount of EUR 7 million (in two tranches) to finance the construction of the Kvemo Kartli landfill and specialised equipment, which continues to be financed by EBRD, and relevant infrastructure in Marneuli municipality, which will now be financed by the Government of Georgia. Based on updated scope, the EBRD financing is provided in two tranches: EUR 4.3 million from the original loan provided in 2015 and EUR 6 million from the loan increase provided in 2024. |
