Description
Description | This proposal sets out to strengthen the position, scalability, and international reach of Kwassa Films through the creation, production, and distribution of high-quality, internationally co-produced audiovisual projects. The slate features four distinctive titles with strong potential for both local and international markets: LEGAT by Gary Seghers – a gripping crime drama TV series co-produced with partners in Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, and France. ANTARCTICA by Olivier Pairoux and Zoé Wittock – an intense thriller TV series co-produced with Belgium, Estonia, and Canada. ENCULES by Patrick Tass – a bold comedy/drama feature co-produced across Belgium, France, and Greece. GROWN-UP by Adriana da Fonseca and Sarah Schenkel – a heartfelt comedy/drama feature co-produced between Belgium and France. With the support of CE Media, Kwassa will undertake focused scriptwriting and creative development, recruit key creative teams, participate in co-production markets, secure partnerships with co-producers and financiers, access development and production funding, and establish early marketing and audience engagement strategies. These activities will empower writers, directors, and Kwassa’s internal team while engaging a diverse range of external experts, from script consultants and cinematographers to production designers and marketing specialists. The goal is to guide these projects from development through production, delivery, and distribution in collaboration with international partners. The development process is expected to result in 18 key outcomes, including finalized scripts, detailed budgets, production schedules, updated creative teams, refined financing strategies, and confirmed support from both national and international funding entities. |
