Kyiv Region Modern Waste Management Pilot Project

under implementation

A pilot project to create a modern solid waste management system is being launched in the Kyiv region. The project aims to develop and promote a sorting system, minimize natural landfills, transform them into modern landfills, and launch waste processing plants. It also includes the production of energy from waste by extracting landfill gas (biogas) and converting it into electricity. The project involves changing societal approaches to waste management and cultivating a waste management culture.
