Description | The two twinning towns - Samorin and Mosonmagyaróvár - are centres of the Danube regions situated below Bratislava and since years support local tourism development. Bratislava, its inhabitants and the tourists coming there mean big possibilities for this region. Regarding cultural tourism, monuments in the two towns as well as landmarks from middle ages in the region are important. As for active tourism, marketing of the existing capacities should be supported; taking into account also the fact that in the framework of INTERREG program similar nonprofit institutions have been supported. The next development level could be cooperation of service providers of the two towns. Town Samorin plans a similar cooperation with Hainburg in Austria. |
