Description | The LAC+USC Medical Center West Central Power Plant supplies steam to several buildings on the Medical Center Campus including the adjacent Juvenile Hall. The use requirement for the Medical Center has decreased due to buildings being powered by the East Central Plant and limited use of older buildings. With the decreased load on the West Central Power Plant, the current burners cannot run at an efficient rate. The project will replace the two existing burners with D-Type Water Tube Boilers which will be more efficient and meet the requirements of the South Coast Air Quality Management District. |
