The solar plant is located in the municipalities of Ciudad del Carmen and Palizada, in the state of Campeche, Mexico. It has a total installed capacity of 444MW. Atlas Renewable Energy are developing the project through the special purpose vehicle La Pimienta Solar. Total project cost is 398.46 USDm. Financing was provided by multiple banks: IDB Invest - USD 68.95m (loan) Banobras - USD 50.00m (loan) Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation - USD 68.95m (loan) MUFG Bank - USD 68.95m (loan) Societe Generale - USD 68.95m (loan) Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation - USD 10.41m (letters of credit) MUFG Bank - USD 10.41m (letters of credit) Banobras - USD 51.84m (VAT facility) Financial Closure was achieved in January 2021.
