Since 2004 La Sarraz Pictures has produced 30 movies, so now after 18 years of activity, the main goal is to grow even more and to become a strong European production player. We don’t want to miss our first mission: discover new talents and work in co-production with European and international partners, also as minority co-producer. The catalogue of La Sarraz Pictures, introduces 6 new projects, 4 fiction features, 1 creative documentary feature and 1 animation short film, resumes very well what we are now since 2004 ans we want to be in the next three years: an ambitious company which put on the first place quality and originaginality, discovering new talents, new ways to produce and distribute movies and creating new and stronger international relationship. - Prince Aden by Gianluca and M. De Serio, is our leading project, after 5 productions with the same Authors and directors (3 documentaries and 2 fiction), we will improve our effort to produce a feature fiction, through a stronger “production value”, which can give back to the directors the chance to work on their first masterpiece, in terms of content and production. We believe strongly that this project, who have already confirmed partners from France, Croatia and Portugal and the interest of a very important world sales can be a movie selected to the most important world festival, also because the previous movies of the same directors was all selected in prestigious festival like Venice, Locarno, Busan and may others. “Prince Aden” can be a movie that will open an important discussion on the international level. It’s a view on history, but regarding the present and the future. The human adventure of the protagonist Aden, during the Italian colonialism era in Somalia and then the fight against the nazi-fascists, it’s a true story and it can be really inspiring for a youth audience too.
