Lac La Croix Water Treatment Plant Upgrades

The project will upgrade the water treatment plant in the Lac La Croix First Nation in Ontario. The project involves constructing two below ground reservoirs and a new building for pre-treatment procedures, installing new chlorination, coagulation, UV disinfection and heating systems, replacing flow meters, and installing online automated analyzers. In addition, a new fire pump will installed, the intake and low lake pump and distribution system will be replaced with a new pump station, and the automatic control of distribution pumps will be restored. The project will improve water treatment and reduce or eliminate the need for drinking water advisories. Operators will be able to monitor and address water quality issues more effectively, on-site health and safety will be enhanced with the provision of a working fire pump, and the life of the asset will be extended.
