Description
Description | Upgrade facilities and provide a new approach to water supply at three locations in Lac La Ronge Provincial Park with the following outcomes. The project work includes fabrication of 3 new holding, re-chlorination and distribution facilities located at Nut Point Campground, Waden Bay Campground and Nemeibein Campground as well as modifications to the current distribution networks and replacement of the existing surface water treatment plants. The holding and re-chlorination facilities will be fabricated off site and hauled to the designated locations. These locations have been selected to minimize any work on utilities and include construction of access roads and all applicable landscaping. The existing plants will either be demolished or converted to storage for park operations, depending upon building condition. The project will remove two Precautionary Drinking Water Advisories and gain compliance with Saskatchewan’s Waterworks and Sewage Works Regulations & Drinking Water Quality Standards and Objectives by discontinuing surface water treatment and transitioning to hauled water and, potentially, a direct supply connection to the local water utility |
