Ladysmith - Holland Lake Dam Expansion

The proposed project will expand the storage capacity of Holland Lake to improve the drinking water supply for residents of Ladysmith and Stz’uminus First Nation. The current supply system is subject to low water during drought. The increased reservoir capacity will allow more water to be stored during the wet months for use in the drier months. The project works include: - lake dredging and/or dam raising; - intake reconfiguration; - spillway and outlet upgrades; - rip rap armouring; and, - related works.
