Description | The Lagos Aquaculture Center of Excellence (LACE) is Nigeria's largest aquaculture initiative, a public-private partnership aiming to boost food security, job creation, and seafood output. The center will be built on 35 hectares near Igbonla and will include hatcheries, nurseries, grow-out units, processing plants, and a feed mill to streamline production, processing, and distribution. It will utilize over 50 million fingerlings annually, mainly catfish, and produce over 2,000 metric tons of fish and 24,000 metric tons of fish feed annually. |
