Description | The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), is upgrading the waste management system by decommissioning legacy landfills and building modern infrastructure including Transfer Loading Stations (TLS) and Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs). The project also includes plans for waste-to-energy capacity, compact/mobile TLS at pressure points, organic waste management with biogas projects, and procurement of additional compactor trucks to improve service delivery. |
