Description
Description | The project consists mainly of the construction of floodways to mitigate recurring floods in the village of Le Goulet caused by Le Goulet Lake. Drainage channels will be paired with spillways at each end as well as a pumping station, which will increase hydraulic capacity in order to reduce the adverse effects of the flooding. The interceptor drainage channel system has been selected as the arrangement that will be able to address existing flood conditions. As a result of project cost savings realized in November 2024, the recipient is adding additional pump station piping, an erosion control structure, an additional 100 metres of stormwater pipes, and an additional 915 metres of ditching to the project scope. |
