Engineers will drill deep into the foundation, install steel pipes filled with rebar and concrete, and pour a concrete slab on top. This added support prepares the structure for roller-compacted concrete that will eventually be placed in front of the existing dam. The upgrade aims to ensure the dam can withstand a probable maximum flood of over 43 inches of rain in a 72-hour period. |
