Description | Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is expanding Kenya's road network with three key highways under construction connecting seven counties across the Western, Nyanza, and Rift Valley regions. The project is funded by a World Bank grant and involves upgrading 815 kilometres of highways to boost trade, travel, and regional development. The three highways include the 365-kilometre Port Victoria-Nyamonye-Asembo Bay-Awasi-Katito route, the 350-kilometre Homa Bay-Mbita-Sori-Muhuru Bay road, and the 100-kilometre Chavakali-Kapsabet-Eldoret highway. Consulting services are being procured to update environmental and social studies before construction begins. |
