Description | The Lake Wales Commons project is a mixed-use development including single-family housing, apartments, and commercial spaces. The developer reduced the density and intensity of the project to avoid a more extensive state review as a Development of Regional Impact (DRI). The maximum allowed multi-family units were reduced from 1,300 to 1,100, and the non-residential square footage was decreased from nearly 2 million to just over 1.5 million square feet. The project still requires city review for infrastructure concurrency to ensure support for water, sewer, roads, schools, and other services. |
