Description | WRS Inc. broke ground on the Lakeforest Redevelopment, a $1.2 billion project transforming the 102-acre Lakeforest Mall site in Gaithersburg, Maryland into a mixed-use mini-city. The project includes 1,600 residential units (850 rental, 750 for sale), over 470,000 SF of retail and commercial space with tenants like The Home Depot, Sprouts Farmers Market, and Landmark Theatres, and over 35 acres of green space with public plazas and improved pedestrian and bike networks. National homebuilder NVR will build 600 for-sale units, WRS and a partner will build 600 rental apartments, and Potomac Housing Development will build 250 workforce housing rental units. |
