Description | The Uttar Pradesh government is developing a pharma park in Lalitpur, Bundelkhand region, aimed at positioning the state as a leading bulk drug manufacturing hub in India. The project is state-sponsored, focusing on self-reliance in bulk drug and API manufacturing, with advanced infrastructure including Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) wastewater management, underground utilities, climate-controlled warehouses, and logistics chains. The project spans 1,472 acres, with 353 acres under development in the first phase, and has secured environmental clearances. It is expected to attract investments exceeding Rs 12,000 crore and create employment for nearly 14,000 people. |
