Description | Australian solar installer Pilecom Pty Ltd has officially kicked off the construction of a 106-MW photovoltaic (PV) farm for Denmark’s European Energy A/S in the Aussie state of Victoria. Pilecom's scope includes installation of 23,274 piles, 1,683 single-axis Horizon trackers by Nextracker LLC, and 170,000 solar modules. The Lancaster Solar Farm is located about nine kilometres east of Kyabram in north-central Victoria, spanning 172 hectares of land. It will generate 216 GWh of electricity annually with grid connection planned for 2026. The project was developed by Sweden’s OX2 AB and acquired by European Energy in September last year. |
