Description | The Lang Lebah field offshore Sarawak, East Malaysia, is the largest gas discovery in PTTEP's history, containing in-place resources of between 6 trillion and 7 trillion cubic feet of gas. Initial production was envisaged at between 800 million and 1 billion cubic feet per day of gas. The project is crucial for supplying feed gas to the Petronas LNG Complex at Bintulu and industrial customers. The project is currently undergoing a re-engineering process to strengthen its economic viability due to cost overruns. PTTEP is looking to bring in one or more new partners, with TotalEnergies tipped as a potential partner. |
