Description
Description | The Second Poverty Reduction Support Operation (PRSO2) for Lao PDR supports the implementation of Lao PDR' s National Growth and Poverty Eradication Strategy. The financial support provided through PRS02 will help finance the costs of implementing key elements of these strategies, together with other domestic and external financing available to Government. The second in a program of three Poverty Reduction Support Operations, PRS02 has focused on three broad policy areas consistent with the goals and strategies identified by Government in its National Growth and Poverty Eradication Strategy and reflected in IDA'S Country Assistance Strategy. (1) public resource management; (2) public expenditure policy; and (3) more sustainable growth and enhanced revenue generation. This project is a single tranche operation. |
