Description | Nebius, a Dutch cloud company, is building one of the biggest AI data centre factories in Europe in Lappeenranta, Finland. The facility will have an energy capacity of up to 310 megawatts, equivalent to three hyperscale data centres, and will feature a closed-loop liquid cooling system to minimize water consumption. Excess heat generated by the servers will be captured and redirected to a local district heating network to heat homes. The project will create up to 700 construction jobs and 100 permanent positions once operational, with completion expected in 2027. |
