Description | SPML Infra Limited has secured a contract worth ₹1,128 crore for the design, engineering, supply, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 250 MW/1,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at NTPC Limited’s Barauni Thermal Power Station in Bihar. The project includes deployment of advanced 5 MWh DC battery containers with Battery Management Systems and Thermal Management Systems, along with associated infrastructure such as 33 kV panel boards, 220 kV DC and AC cables, switchyard systems, civil works, and other components. The execution timeline is 18 months, followed by 15 years of operations and maintenance. |
