Description | This project will construct a large sub-surface disposal system (LSSDS) that incorporates sub-surface disposal through a system of receiving beds, piping and pumps. The effluent is dispersed through a receiving area of raised beds and a sand mantel. The distribution of the effluent is accomplished through a system of pumps and valves controlled by an integrated supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. The project is a replacement system for effluent disposal only. Existing lagoons will continue to provide biological treatment to the proposed LSSDS system. |
