Description | Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 has launched the largest desalinated water supply project to address the water crisis in southern Gaza. The project involves constructing a 315mm water transmission pipeline stretching 6.7 kilometres, connecting a UAE-established desalination plant in Egypt to a displacement area between Khan Younis and Rafah governorates. It aims to provide 15 litres of desalinated water per person daily to around 600,000 residents, where over 80% of water infrastructure has been destroyed. |
