Description | Baltic sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producer NorSAF has selected US engineering company KBR Inc’s proprietary PureSAF technology for a project in Latvia. The plant is designed to produce 100,000 tonnes of SAF and e-SAF annually, combining green hydrogen, bioethanol, and captured biogenic CO2. The project is backed by Avia Solutions Group and aims to serve aviation companies across the Baltics, Northern Europe, and additional European markets. Initiated in 2024, with feasibility studies completed in 2025, and a final investment decision targeted for early 2027, the plant is expected to become operational in 2030. |
