Description | Largo Civic Plaza is a new multimillion-dollar public plaza project in Prince George's County, Maryland, part of the Blue Line Corridor Project. The project includes a 14,000-square-foot mural, public art installations, and playground equipment designed for children aged 18 months to 12 years. The project was completed and handed over to the county but was subsequently fenced off due to safety concerns raised by the county administration. The county plans to redesign the plaza for safety and partially tear it down, including removing the play equipment. The Maryland Stadium Authority financed and built the project, which was designed and constructed in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and certified playground equipment standards. |
