Description

Description

With the main aim of facilitating the expansion of EU SMEs interested in, or operating in LA, the LA IPR SME HD will offer multimodal & multilingual expert advice on the usage and enforcement of IP rights in LA. It will be target oriented and innovative. High quality service standards will be the priority of the consortium with large experience in leading similar initiatives and complemented by a pool of senior IPR experts from EU and Latin America. The multilingual helpline will be also accessible via real time chat, facilitating direct contact with IP experts. The materials produced will be practical and business oriented with features such as cross-links with our Social Media channels to increase awareness. The most knowledgeable experts will deliver training workshops and clinics in interactive formats. Monitoring of IP policies/legislation will be carried out by policy level actors involved in the project (INPI, OEPM, INAPI) and in collaboration with their counterparts and international actors such as OHIM, WIPO, and EPO. Relations of EU SMEs with their counterparts in Latin America will be created and reinforced via an in-depth study on IP practices of LA companies & SMEs, capacity building and brokerage activities – carried out by experienced partners (including EEN contact points). The Marketing and Dissemination Plan of the service will be effective and targeted specifically at: EU SMEs, multipliers, policy-level actors. Four Contact Points and a Networking Office will bring the service closer to users in EU and LA and trigger the dissemination and networking actions. The public access to the LA IPR SME HD services will be the Common web portal which will host the website and other IT tools for the three Helpdesks. Created using the latest technology, innovative formats and media it will allow the maximum focus on user-friendliness and openness of resources for a more intensive usage among the target audience.
