Launch on Demand Rocket Launch Facility in Dominican Republic

planned

Launch on Demand, a Florida-based company, is set to build a $600 million rocket launch facility in a remote region near the border with Haiti in the Dominican Republic. The project aims to meet the growing demand for heavy-lift rockets to deploy satellite clusters and counter China's expanding space infrastructure presence in Latin America. The facility will include power and water treatment plants serving both the base and the local community in Pedernales. The project is privately financed and considered a national priority by the Dominican government, though it will not receive subsidies.
