Description

Description

The Project is to upgrade the Laurentian Hills wastewater treatment facility. The scope of the Project includes performing an infiltration study, implement pipe repairs, and disconnect sump pump connections. The scope will also include the replacement of the following plant components that are beyond their useful service life: 10hp influent pumps, 35hp blower, clarifier and aeration equipment, and reline grit channel. Finally, new components will be introduced to the plant including supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, a chlorine contact chamber, flocculants and coagulant, and additional sludge holding capacity. The Project aims to reduce the discharge of untreated sewage, reduce phosphorus levels into the receiving stream, and to allow the plant to operate more efficiently.
