Description | Transports publics de la région lausannoise (tl) and Alstom have signed a contract worth 295 million euros to modernise Lausanne’s M2 metro line. The project includes deploying a new communications based train control (CBTC) system to enable more frequent services and increased passenger capacity, combined with a mid-life modernisation of the existing train fleet. The upgrade will improve train operation precision, reduce waiting times, and support growing passenger demand while maintaining safety and reliability. The fleet modernisation includes renewing key onboard systems and refreshing train interiors and exteriors. |
