Lava Films Mini Slate 2024: • HER DEAD BODY - Helena Oborska 1st full-length feature film • THE EXCURSION - Kei Ishikawa 6th full-length feature film • TWO SOULS (aka BLACK MADONNA) - Łukasz Ronduda 4th full-length feature film Our objectives are focused to provide best possible conditions to help develop, finance, produce all the projects mentioned above: conduct a proper research, find best possible partners and co-producers, ensure best possible quality of each project from an early stage to maximize its potential, support innovative filmmakers to take risks and expand their horizons. As for activities, we want focus on: • nurturing professional relationships with co-production partners and investors and together create a successful strategy for project’s development, • working closely with our talents, provide support and advice, • preparing moodboards aligned with the subsequent stages of development, • organize location scouting, casting sessions, • work on distribution strategy, conductc audience design session with PR media agencies, • prepare storyboards for potential VFX scenes. We intend the three projects in the slate to ensure a step-up in their authors’ professional paths. We strongly believe that these films will prove progressive not only for the writers and directors, but also for the producers and crews and that distributors, broadcasters and programmers will notice their singularity as well as their festival and market potential. We expect this application to contribute to the successful production and release of three highly ambitious projects. With this slate our ambition is to give our filmmakers an opportunity to implement possible improvements to their projects. We plan on finding new partners and expanding on the Lava Films brand in the film industry landscape. Deliverables to be produced: finished, doctored scripts, for partners, distributors: moodboards, teaser, finished, secured budget, financing strategy, casting and locations proposals, produced films.
