Description | The general objective of this project is to contribute to the correct application of the EU anti-discrimination legislation. Under the general objective, the expected outcomes are: a) short term-the target migrant women and professionals increase their knowledge about foreign citizens’ rights to access social security, social assistance, social protection, welfare measures and the labour market b) medium term–migrants are aware of being victims of discrimination and on their rights; the project consortium and the national/EU Institutions improve their exchange of information; the public administration improves its knowledge about the national/EU legislation c) long term-the project will contribute to a better integration between migrants and the local communities, ensuring equal access to social security, social assistance, social protection, welfare measures and the labour market, according to the EU anti-discrimination legislation and values. The project target groups are: migrants and migrant women (100 women belonging to different migrant organizations, 400 migrants involved in the socio-economic research – 200 will be migrants of African origin and the 50% of the sample will be represented by women-, at least 50 migrants taken in charge by ASGI through moral suasion activities - at least the 50% will be women -, at least 10 migrants that every week will contact the ASGI Help Desk for remote legal advice), 100 professionals working in private/public migration services, reception centres and organizations of cultural mediators. The main outputs of this project include: 60 moral suasion letters for public authorities; 5 short information sheets for migrants; 1 socio-economic research report; 4 trainings in presence for 100 migrant women in total; 2 online trainings for 100 professionals in total; 1 online Vademecum for migrants; 1 advocacy policy paper; 1 final report containing the regulatory/case law framework and the main results of the socio-economic research. |
