Description | Los Angeles City Council is set to approve an additional $250 million to expand the Los Angeles International Airport's curbside overhaul project, increasing the budget from an initial $13 million. The project involves a comprehensive rebuild of the Central Terminal Area loop curbside, including expanded passenger loading zones, redesigned pickup and drop-off areas, upgraded crosswalks, widened sidewalks, façade improvements to parking structures, new seating, landscaping, lighting, and reworked pedestrian pathways to accommodate increased passenger volumes ahead of the 2028 Olympics. The project moves from planning to full construction and extends the contract through June 2029. |
