A report from BloombergNEF forecasts that the levelised cost of electricity (LCOE) of grid-scale solar and battery energy storage is expected to decline globally in 2025. The LCOE for fixed-axis utility-scale solar projects is projected to drop from USD 36 per MWh to USD 35 per MWh, while battery energy storage LCOE is expected to decrease from USD 104 per MWh to USD 93 per MWh.
