LDV - Interconnection and Colocation Center

The project will create a new West European interconnection center for very high-speed intercontinental communication systems (satellite and submarine) with Pan European Networks, which will contribute to strengthening the resilience and security between European Hubs and outside EU and market competition. The project takes advantage of existing infrastructure in the Lisbon metropolitan area as strategic position on the North and South Atlantic, Mediterranean and Western Europe axes. Works will contribute to enhance EU digital connectivity, by providing larger and more reliable gateways, which in turn will increase resilience and improve international and intercontinental connectivity. Works will consist of a building and parking lot with modern accessibility facilities, co-location rooms for equipment from companies providing public communications networks, to interconnect and exchange data traffic between them and data storage.
