Description

Description

The aim of the FC measure is to improve the livelihoods and prospects of Palestinian refugees from Lebanon and Syria. The focus of the project is on measures for the employment-intensive repair of UNRWA infrastructure (schools, vocational schools, health centers and administrative offices) and environmental health (water, sanitation and hygiene, WASH). In addition, a new waste management system will be introduced on a pilot basis in three refugee camps. The short-term employment as part of the project will improve the income situation of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon; at least 4,825 Palestinian refugees are to be employed for at least two months. In addition, the situation in the refugee camps is to be improved through the repair of UNRWA facilities and through measures in the area of environmental health (water, sanitation and hygiene/WASH). In all refugee camps, garbage is to be collected on 300 days (instead of the current 250 days) a year.
