Description

Description

In the data society where big data, and the knowledge extracted from them, are fundamental elements for taking correct decisions, the competence to manage data, data analytics tools, artificial intelligence algorithms, visualization communication and human rights in an interdisciplinary way is becoming a pillar for the future generations of researchers, legal operators, citizens. In the EduComp 2.1 we found two important competencies related to this topic, Information and data literacy and Problem-solving, that should be more and more integrated into the high-level courses of our universities, especially in the School of Law. We intend to create a complex module to promote the following goals for the School of Law LLM students (lawyers), PhD candidates, legal practitioners: i) to provide competencies in the legal students for managing the introduction of the AI and data analytics in the society, related to their specific job but also, in general, to understand the phenomena of the society through correct analysis of the data and of the visualization; ii) to promote digital transformation in the legal domain (lawyers, judges) where the conservative approach creates resistance to the introduction of the ICT for producing a new business process organization; iii) to enlarge the debate in the academic community about the value of the interdisciplinary teaching combining law theoretical methodology and data science approach, in order to offer courses to different categories of students (LLM and PhD); iv) to create a more robust society where the citizens can act in the infosphere with more consciousness and intellectual autonomy using correctly data, visualization, artificial intelligence tools.
