Legislative Complex - Electrical Upgrades

Upgrading the aging electrical service equipment for the Legislative Assembly Complex, as the equipment has passed its useful life. All of the high voltage equipment that is located in the building basement will be relocated to the exterior of the building on a new pad mount transformer, which will feed the facility. Having high voltage in the basement is dangerous, as the building is located in the flood zone. The project will also add a back-up generator, which will provide back-up power to the entire building, including fire pumps, sump pumps for flood control, etc. The new generator will be hardwire to a dedicated transfer switch for the Leg, which is a government-owned building.
